A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AEROVAULT
Get the inside view of Aerovault production while their amazing, aerodynamic, lightweight aluminum trailers are built. From inside building 1 where the chassis and tailgates are built, and more importantly of what they’re built, to how the nose sheets are cut, bending that beautiful curved nose into shape and bending the side walls with Aerovault’s beloved press brake (nicknamed “thumper”) to give the Aerovault it’s amazing strength.
Then on to building 2, the “build up” phase where the nose and side sheets are installed, tailgate is installed with heavy duty springs, and the electrical, lighting and roof are installed.
You’ll then get a close-up view of the details of a finished Aerovault, a comparison of the standard and tall Aerovault heights and how a car is winched in and out. This is followed by a recap of available accessories.

The Aerovault has plenty of storage for all your track (or concours) essentials! An Aerovault owner in Phoenix was kind enough to send us this video showing off his loaded interior prior to winching in his sports car and heading to the track.
BUILDING AN AEROVAULT: PLASMA CUTTING A NOSE SHEET
Watch the unique way we plasma cut an Aerovault nose sheet which is made of 1/8” thick, 6061 marine/aircraft grade aluminum, on our custom plasma table. This includes maintaining tabs between all cuts so the sheet stays intact, ready to be rolled to create the perfectly curved nose on an Aerovault trailer.

AEROVAULT STABILITY TEST – UNEVEN SURFACES
David from Alden Transport, with his co-pilot beagle Chloe, couldn’t stop experimenting with the handling of an Aerovault during his last transport. Crossing Texas, with his aero test yarn still attached, he ran into the inevitable road construction. One lane finished and paved and the other cut down inches lower then the completed lane. David takes you on a back and forth ride as he shows how the Aerovault tracks perfectly while changing across these uneven lanes.

Loading a vehicle into an Aerovault is controlled, accurate and safe no matter if your car is in perfect mechanical condition or if you’ve had a failure. YARN TEST! AEROVAULT STAYS ROCK STEADY WHILE PASSING TRUCKS
David from Alden Transport was so delighted by how the Aerovault he was delivering to Atlanta didn’t twitch when he passed 18 wheelers he had to find out more. He taped yarn (the old yarn test) to the “passing” side of the Aerovault and went on the hunt for some big boys to pass. He found them. The Aerovault, and its yarn, stay rock steady during the pass. At the VERY end he slows down the video so you can watch in slow motion.
